maritime institute.

Following a thorough urban analysis, a project proposal arose to enhance the marine area in Dbayeh, Lebanon. This visionary project involved the creation of a dynamic longitudinal elevated urban park that seamlessly connected a bustling city center to the project site by the water. Upon examining the surrounding amenities and conducting a demographic study, it became clear that there was a discernible need for an educational institution and more green spaces in the region.

Consequently, the innovative decision was made to establish a Maritime Institute as the centerpiece of the development, complemented by an inviting public park atop the building. Incorporating sustainability at its core, the project embraced a study of wave kinetic renewable energy solutions to power its operations, showcasing a commitment to eco-friendly practices and forward-thinking design principles.

The building's shape and design were thoughtfully inspired by the surrounding built areas, creating a harmonious extension. Additionally, it offers a covered courtyard area that serves as a boat docking spot, fostering an exposed visual connection between all rooms and functions of the project.

The project features inviting classrooms, a cozy canteen complete with an outdoor seating area, a well-equipped workshop, and a spacious auditorium. An outdoor covered circulation area ensures a smooth and unrestricted flow throughout the project, creating a welcoming environment for all.
